హైదరాబాద్ బ్లాగరులకు…

బార్ క్యాంప్ హైదరాబాద్ వాళ్ళు “బ్లాగ్ క్యాంప్” ఒకటి ఏర్పాటు చేద్దామని ఆలోచిస్తున్నారు. నాకు తెలిసిన ఫ్రెండ్ ఒకతని నుంచి ఈ సమాచారం వచ్చింది. మన తెలుగు బ్లాగరులలో ఆసక్తి ఉన్నవాళ్ళు తప్పకుండా పాల్గొనాలని ప్రార్ధన. ఆతను పంపిన ఈ-మెయిల్ ఇక్కడ ఉంచుతున్నా..

The barcamp guys of Hyderabad are toying with the idea to organize a BlogCamp in Hyderabad sometime during end of October / early November.Why?
During the last four Barcamps organized in Hyderabad, we found that the camp crowd has been largely (only) techies; which though is an amazing crowd for a demo camp is severely limiting for building a vibrant online community of bloggers who can bring their various view points to the table. Hyderabad is a blogging powerhouse; but its completely underground.Google boasts of atleast 100 bloggers but I know not one of them and its important to know if I want to get a foot into their door. And with the freetime we have at Oracle, its nobody’s guess on how many active bloggers we might be having!

With BlogCamp Hyderabad our effort is to first and foremost build a Blogroll of Hyderabad Bloggers (planning to roll of a small webplay based on this, what say? ) and of course bring up the awareness on the Barcamps, Democamps that we want to have during the next few months.

Whats there in it?
- Meet the virtual bloggers you interact regularly to meet offline. Ok make that other than your work buddies.
- Meet interesting people. [m42 & w4m]
- Form your own communities – Telugu bloggers, Tech bloggers, Story tellers, Athiest bloggers – all you can imagine
- Create awareness about your own blog and create a story that goes with it – SEO? Revenue? Ideas of World Domination?

Why you?
- Simple. I know you and I read your blogs regularly. And you know people that I don’t and you follow up your reading acts really well.

What do I want from you?
- Just get the word out and see if you can get an estimate of how many people would be interested to come and be a part of it.
- In addition to it, maybe be a part of the main organizing team too!
